Colour Grading

Adventure

An example of this is in Minecraft where everything in the caves is dark and hard to see. This gives the effect on having to be careful of things like mobs and other potential dangers or hazards. it also has different sounds like minecarts running and other eerie noises to give a more scary feeling to the player and at the same time helps them feel where they are. this makes an impact due to things like atmosphere and mood. The cave textures and lighting add  to the overall atmosphere of the game. Dark, shadowy areas evoke a sense of suspense and mystery, encouraging exploration. The use of varied textures can create a more organic and natural feel, making caves feel alive and dangerous. another factor is, Variety and Exploration: The diversity of cave textures encourages exploration. Each biome or cave system can feel unique with its own color palette and texture set, rewarding players for venturing into different areas and keeping the gameplay fresh

Horror:

Five nights at Freddie's (fnaf) is an incredibly popular horror game amongst the World. The colors are always dark and gloomy. This creates the effect of fear of what's around you. This is effective making you scared, forcing you to make mistakes and play it over and over again. this adds to a more Creepy Aesthetic. The texture design of the animatronics, environments, and props is intentionally unsettling, which enhances the game's horror element. The grimy, worn textures of the pizzeria create an uneasy feeling and add to the backstory of neglect and abandonment. another part of it is Immersive Environments. The intricate design of the textures helps to create an immersive environment. Players feel as if they are genuinely inside the haunted pizzeria, heightening the tension and keeping them engaged.
